ballet sweater

Finally finished! I've been working on this pattern on and off for what's seemed like forever. Ever since I saw Black Swan in theaters I've been dreaming of a pretty, soft, ballet wrap sweater. This is what I came up with.

It's knit out of recycled yarn. I can't remember the content anymore, but it's machine washable with some wool and angora content.

I love sweaters with a bit of a scoop back.
I wasn't sure if I should add ribbing or not but I'm glad I did. :)

en pointe is knit sideways from ribbon tie to ribbon tie. The sleeves and ribbing are knit separately. There's no seeming! Off to the test knitters for this one. :)

That is gorgeous. And perfect - I was just looking for something like this the other day for when I go out dancing. Will you be selling the pattern when it's ready?

Oh, that's lovely! I really like the sleeve to body join. Did you knit this from the bottom up?

Thank you! It's actually knit from side to side/end to end if that makes sense.

I know this is an odd comment, but you should definitely market that towards nursing moms because the openings, etc in the top are literally PERFECT! I am due in seven weeks, so if you're needing test knitters, dear Lord, please let me know!

Gorgeous work. :)

I completely agree! My son is 16 months old and I've basically redesigned my wardrobe around what I can nurse in. I'm going to have to make this sweater ASAP. It is fabulous!

OP - I'll happily volunteer as a test knitter! I've added you on Ravelry, btw.
