My first finished project of the year is a pair (sort of..) of silk mittens.
I dyed the fibre and spun the yarn myself on a homemade drop-spindle.
Not really a pair, I know - I had spent almost a year making the yarn, and glove 1 ended up too thick and glove 2 too thin, due to yarn inconsistency. So glove 3 was made of the remaining yarn so it didn't get wasted. Am sure there is a matching pair in there somewhere!
