After reading a lot about people recycling yarn, I went to the thrift store around here and found a really soft, really light-coloured 100% nylon sweater. I took it apart and it gave me four really large-sized skeins(not bad for $1.25). I could use this as-is for projects, but I was wondering if the kool-aid method for dying wool can be applied to this nylon? I really like the texture of it for myself but I don't see myself wearing this colour.. but if I could dye it, that'd be awesome. Anything I've seen on-line seems to show only 100% wool being sucessfully dyed with kool-aid, which I assume would be the easiest 'dye' I can get. Has anyone here dyed nylon? What did you use that worked best?
Thanks for any help (:
