for christmas i received two gorgeous hanks of handpainted 100% wool in a chunky, unevenly-spun weight. i have never had the pleasure of working with yarn of this quality before, and i am racking my brain to figure out what to do with it. i'd like to go beyond the usual hat-and-scarf sort of thing, but with a yarn of this quality i wasn't sure what would be the best way to show off the beauty of the yarn. do you lovely folks have any suggestions for patterns or particular items that might be appropriate? thanks!
