I feel like I've been working on Rogue since I first started knitting. I started it in September, and just finished it the other day. Ordinarily, it doesn't take me so long to finish a sweater, but I took frequent breaks during the straight stockinette portions, and made a size about ten inches bigger than what I usually make, since this was for my best friend.
For the ten knitters out there who haven't heard of Rogue, you can buy the pattern here. It's by Jenna Wilson, and is interesting to work. She has some neat techniques. The charts are great, too. I used Elann Peruvian Collection Highland Wool in Oxblood, and used a little less than 14 skeins for the 43.5" size. I like this yarn, but I'm not in a hurry to buy more. It's reasonably soft and makes a nice, squishy fabric. It only makes me a little itchy, which is saying something, because everything makes me itch.
