Yarn Substitution Help

I'm thinking about making the Pea Pod Baby Set that's one of the special projects in the IK summer issue. It calls for Debbie Bliss Cotton Cashmere which didn't get such a hot review in Knitter's Review. The guage is 22 sts = 4" on #5 needles which is 5.5 sts = 1".

I was thinking of substituting some Knitpicks yarn since I've always wanted to place an order with them. I originally thought Shine Worsted might work - it's 4.5 - 5 sts. = 1" on #6 - 9 needles. OR would Shine Sport be better - 6 sts = 1" on #3 - 5 needles. I was going to make the 12 mo. size (baby due Aug. 7) so I could just fudge the gauge and make a smaller or larger size.

What would you fabulous knitters do? I am really terrible at thinking outside of the suggested box so I need some help here!

Is either shine a good sub at all or go with something else?
